Pining for death on "Trust Me"
Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 10:11AM After this week's episode of 'Trust Me' the Creative Department death toll
remains at one. Sigh.
As the ad agency clichés roll on, characters concentrate on becoming even more one-dimensional. If Conner, the wacky writer, were cranking out amazing concepts and headlines he would get a pass on some of his childish antics. Instead he's not only lifting headlines from a jr., he's defending them as his own.
Then there's crazy Sarah. The fact that her character has gotten weaker, more insecure and now, a bit "easy" tells me that everyone on the show's writing staff uses a urinal.
And finally we have Mason- the biggest puss to ever get a corner office. He's everything you don't want in a CD. He panics while talking to a client. He is completely steam rolled by his subordinate partner. He enlists the help of his wife to fix his mistakes. And he bails jr. creative folk out of jail. Like that would ever happen. With leadership like that it's no wonder the entire staff banded together to save the stolen, absolute crap headline "Do thumbthing."
I would have preferred Conner and Mason staying at the mall looking at boats for an hour.
