"Trust Me" Episode 2, Early Returns

My Tweets during the second show:

dbrowellTNT has got to stop calling "Trust Me" a drama. Will & Grace had more drama. #trustme

dbrowellI love that the critical acclaim #trustme uses in its promos is from a magazine about advertising (AdAge); Next up: Fox loves Fox programs!

dbrowell: I respect what Trust Me WANTS to do; & sometimes funny; but essentially it's not scathing or subtle enough to be more than arrogant #trustme

dbrowell: If it wasn't for the photos on the office wall we'd never know this was in Chicago #trustme

dbrowell: Wait: 30 emails is overwhelming to the CD; well, that & $1k+ in time blown telling 10 people

dbrowell: Oh look, "Trust Me" is pretending people read the print version of AdWeek #trustme

dbrowell: Instead of #trustme you could be watching Bruce Springsteen slide into the camera crotch first over and over http://tinyurl.com/dbplvv

In a word: "ugh."  While the very, very end had some drama tagged on like a flourish for good measure, it's too little too late.  Mid-season cancellation?  Smells like it.
