ND&P's Recent Best: The Neat Hawk Entries for March

Each month we will be highlighting works from around the agency and voting internally for the elusive "Neat Hawk" award.

Asking me to introduce the three nominees for the newly revamped Neat Hawk awards is like asking my mother which of her children she loves most. “Your sister,” she always says. “No question.” Oh, mom. What a prankster! She even changed the inheritance section of her will to keep the joke going!

I guess what I’m saying is that even though I have a clear favorite for this month’s Neat Hawks, I would never tell you because it could lead to feelings of inadequacy, episodes of binge eating and many, many thousands of dollars in therapist fees. So, I’ll keep quiet about my favorite piece. Like Mom used to tell us, “Hush, John! Your sister has something important to say.”

This month’s nominees are a showcase for ND&P’s top talent. From Chattanooga, we have some serious strategic heavy lifting in the Lectrus rebranding—with beautifully smart results. On the other side of the spectrum is Roanoke’s “Little Red Dress” invitation, with a lot fewer branding issues to sort out but the added pressure of being creatively wide open. And from Richmond, an ad for Shore that manages to be both emotionally complex yet elegantly simple.

Look at the work. Watch the videos. Vote on what you think is best. Every vote counts. (Except mine; my mom made me give it to my sister…)
