    From his bio:

"At first glance, Kyle Tallman, may seem like the typical singer/songwriter, but to dismiss him as that would be a mistake. This twenty-two year old UTC student has so much more to offer. The Chattanooga native has been playing music for seven years but writing for only five. As a full time student he does his best to balance work, school, and music; playing as many weekends as possible. Whether it’s a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or bar, Kyle will play anywhere his voice is willing to be heard. His lyrics are honest and real. His shows are intimate and genuine. He is currently teaming up with his producer and friend, Robert Williams, to record his long awaited album entitled Courage, which is expected to be released in early March 2009."

    dude rocks!

After hearing Kyle's track (really quite good), I felt obligated--having been totally outed as a complete music geek--to ask some kind of inside-the-beltway question, rather than just fawning like I typically would around someone who can actually play multiple instruments and sing like a pretty bird.

So, I queried: Any treatment on the vocals?

Kyle: via e-mail from down the hall: Not much. just a little love.

Translation: His vocals were slightly altered using advanced technologies (a black box w/assorted knobs). Nothing like Neil Young singing through a tube to sound like Trans-Man from 2525 . . so light, in fact, it makes Kyle sound, um, almost 27!

Nice job, Kyle, and good luck!
