Ernest Gets Schooled
Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:52AM ND&P’s team of experts fly all over the country speaking to a variety of industries (healthcare, hospitality, higher education & more) on a variety of subjects (branding, public relations, new media & more). But every now and then we get to speak to the toughest audience of all: kids.
On May 14th, Ernest DelBuono from Neathawk Dubuque & Packett (Roanoke) visited Language Arts classes at Northside Middle School, speaking to students of Michelle Schmidt.
The following are quotes from appreciative students:
“I learned that you really need to listen to your audience when advertising to them”
“I like that your company tries to make [ads] realistic, I’ve seen many ads that don’t”
“You really opened up my thoughts about public relations and advertising”
“I learned that if you really enjoy doing something you like it’s not stressful”
“Everything is constantly moving in your job and things are always advancing or changing”
“I learned that there are many types of media to influence all different types of people”
“I really enjoyed the website because before you showed us I didn’t know what a banner was”
“I learned a lot about all the steps you have to go through just to make an ad”
“I really enjoyed how you explained how Winston Churchill inspired you to do ads when he was in WW2”
“I learned that the job takes a lot of creativity and it can be a lot of fun”
