    LeTweet at Lemaire

Okay, we can finally say it... We were behind LeTweet, the speak-easy style event held at the newly re-opened Lemaire at The Jefferson July 10th... We had a great time not only at the event, but in the planning and execution of our strategy as well. Keeping it quiet was hard enough (I'm not known for my self control) but between Anna's steady hand and our growing list of attendees, it kept the mystery up.  A special nod of thanks to the Lemaire crew,  Shaun Amanda & Katie as well.

So how did we select the who's-who of Richmond Twitterers? Well first off we took ourselves out of the equation in trying to judge and just went to top Twitter ranking sites like Twitter.Grader and Twitterholic. After inviting the tops of those sites we basically had two rules: Put anyone in the running for a spot if they followed both @LeTweet and @LemaireRichmond and invite most anyone vocally excited about the concept who was publicly displaying it on Twitter. We tried to stay transparent too, answering any and all questions - including selection.

The result was a truly fun group of people at the coolest new bar in town. Did it create buzz?  See for yourself (be sure to go back in time with older posts too). Everything about what we did tied to the new concept of Lemaire and the context of the Richmond social media scene at this exact time. And the after-effects? "LeTweet" now becomes a drink at the bar that's not on the menu (akin to a "Limehouse") that only those who know it's there will order...

I heard LeTweet was a lot of fun - congrats on such a success! Hearing about the event and seeing posts/twitpics from buddies is honestly probably the only reason why I would think about checking out Lemaire again - and I already know what I'll be ordering.
    Kudos!
